V&A MUSEUM COLLECTION
“Zen”

04亞卡木蘭全景.jpeg

The Zen series combines pure titanium, diamonds, spinel, and wood.
Designed and crafted by AKACHEN in 2017, Taiwan.

Guided by the philosophy of form without form, the series juxtaposes the strength of metal with the warmth of wood, expressing stillness, transformation, and the timeless breath of light.

The set includes a flower-shaped brooch and a pair of earrings, which can be combined into a sculptural ensemble — a metaphor for the subtle balance between being and silence.

In 2019, the Zen series was odicially acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, becoming one of the few contemporary Asian jewelry artworks crafted entirely in pure titanium within the museum’s collection.
